Roots and Beginnings
🧿

Healing has been part of my life long before I had a word for it.

My maternal grandmother, from Durango, Mexico, introduced me to the quiet power of herbal teas, plants, and ancestral rituals that nurture body and spirit.

I grew up on the Frontera of South Texas, where my paternal grandfather tended sugar cane fields. Watching him work the land, I learned the rhythm of nature — how soil, water, and seasons work together to bring life.

It was here, in these fields and gardens, that my love and respect for the gifts of the earth first took root.

Journey Across the World

At 21, I moved to Houston, and soon after, I traveled to Indonesia for three months. There, I immersed myself in Jamu, an herbal medicine tradition made from roots, flowers, herbs, bark, and spices.

I then lived in Spain and France, learning the medicinal qualities of flowers for emotional well-being and the importance of food prepared with care and intention.

These experiences taught me that healing is woven into every part of life — the food we eat, the herbs we brew, the way we move, breathe, and care for ourselves.

Guided by these experiences, I became an Herbal Practitioner, gaining hands-on experience with Cupping Therapy and Infrared Light Therapy.

In 2018, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, working in medical and corporate settings. During Covid, I traveled to Nepal to earn my Yoga Teacher Certification at Nepal Yoga Home in Kathmandu.

Returning to the States, I taught corporate yoga online while completing my Doctor of Natural Medicine Board Certification in 2020.
